Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist

Mercedes Benadivas is a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist with a passion for integrative, functional, and holistic nutrition. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, she earned her degree in Nutrition in her home country before moving to Florida in 2014 — where she pursued her studies again and became a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist (RDN). With over 13 years of experience, Mercedes has dedicated her career to providing nutritional education and support to children on the autism spectrum and their families. She specializes in addressing behavioral, digestive, and metabolic challenges through a personalized, evidence-based approach rooted in cellular health, mitochondrial function, gut-brain connection, and detoxification.

In 2023, she earned her certification as a Functional Registered Dietitian through the Integrated Functional Nutrition Academy, deepening her clinical framework for addressing root causes rather than symptoms. In 2024, she further expanded her expertise by becoming a certified Women's Health Specialist, reinforcing her commitment to supporting the mothers who are often the primary caregivers in these families.

Her practice serves primarily Spanish-speaking families across the U.S. and Canada — bridging the gap between cutting-edge functional nutrition and an underserved community navigating complex neurodevelopmental diagnoses. Her approach goes beyond diet: it's a whole-body, whole-family lifestyle framework that empowers families with the knowledge and tools to create lasting change.
